New from Spring Term 2022 – Free instrument hire for pupils funded by Pupil Premium
We are happy to be able to support music making in your school by offering free instrument hire(subject to availability) for your pupils whose lessons will be funded from their Pupil Premium allocation or other school funding (standard lesson fees and printed music charges still apply). Please phone our office on 07740 117227 or email wcsm@btinternet.com to enquire.
You may find our Info Sheet September 2023 and Frequently Asked Questions useful.
Our peripatetic lessons are free to your school
We do all of the parent contact, signing up, billing, admin. We will arrange for a teacher to attend your school for a lesson session at a time which is convenient for your school.
Great value for parents
Parents pay £83 per term of ten 20-minute lessons (usually 5 before and 5 after half term). Great value when private lessons can cost £16+ per lesson! If you wish to support a child’s music lessons through the Pupil Premium, please contact us.
One teacher for all wind instruments plus guitar and piano/keyboard
Due to our teaching methods and training of our teachers, each of our tutors teaches all of the instruments in our collection. This means less disruption to your school timetable and makes peripatetic music a reality for schools where it is not financially viable for teachers who only teach one instrument to attend. Violin and Ukulele also available in some schools – please ask.
A comprehensive service
We supply the teacher and have instruments and music available to provide a hassle-free service for families and schools which provides everything they need. We can even repair most instruments in-house and (subject to availability) provide a free loan instrument while the original instrument is in repair.
Support for your existing music programme
We can work with you to provide performance opportunities for children in school and link to external groups in order that your pupils can develop all aspects of their musical skills.
Book a music assembly and parents’ information evening
Phone our office to book a 45 min music assembly for your KS2 pupils and we will follow this up a week later with a Parents’ Information session where all children will be able to try all instruments and parents will be given full information about our service.
OR
Phone us to book a visit from our Head of Service to discuss how we could bring peripatetic music lessons to your school.
